Ten Commandments 2.0 dedication ceremony to be held Thursday at Capitol

The American History & Heritage Foundation — the organization headed by state Sen. Jason Rapert to pay for the installation of a new Ten Commandments monument on the Arkansas Capitol grounds — will hold a dedication ceremony tomorrow at 11:30 a.m., the group announced in a press release today.

Rapert announced last week that the monument was ready for re-installation. The first iteration of the Ten Commandments monument was installed last June but destroyed within the next 24 hours when it was rammed by a man in a vehicle, Michael Reed.

The press release says the Foundation "invites all interested Arkansas citizens to join them for a brief dedication" on Thursday, April 26. It does not say when the monument itself will be installed.
